There were a lot of people in New York City last night at Bulgari’s exclusive party to celebrate the launch of its new Tubogas jewelry line. The Italian high-end brand showed off 16 stunning, never-before-seen pieces in The Refinery, which is located in Brooklyn’s famous Domino Sugar Factory. Both Bulgari and the Domino Sugar Factory are having their 140th anniversaries this year, which made the choice of venue even better.
As the sun went down, guests arrived during the golden hour and were instantly surrounded by a display of the Tubogas collection’s long history. Tubogas has come a long way from a simple, bendable gold band to a luxury brand known all over the world. To show this trip, Bulgari worked with artists from a variety of fields, and each one added their own unique style to the iconic design.
Antoni Tudisco made a digital campaign that caught people’s attention, and light artist Christopher Bauder and his team at studio WHITEvoid made an amazing moving light sculpture called “THE WAVE.” To add to the artistic atmosphere, principal dancer Isabella Boylston led a dance performance that showed how the Tubogas design was elegant and fluid.
Masego, a Jamaican-American singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, played soulful music while people looked at the works. His music went perfectly with the golden colors of the Brooklyn sunset. A lot of people, including Naomi Campbell, Dakota Johnson, Olivia Culpo, and Kelly Wearstler, who were all wearing beautiful Bulgari jewelry, stayed late to party. Moving on to the beats of DJs Nancy Whang from LCD Soundsystem and Myles Hendrik kept the party going long after the sun went down.
Bulgari is having a special installation at its Fifth Avenue flagship store for people who want to see the magic of the Tubogas line after the party is over. Some Tubogas pieces will be on show in the Bulgari Studio so that visitors can admire the skill and creativity that go into making this famous collection.
