For the first time since 2003, the Met Gala celebrated men’s style with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The result? A red carpet where timepieces took center stage. From professional athletes to Hollywood stars, luxury watches adorned wrists as symbols of craftsmanship and personal flair.
Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, made his Met Gala debut in a Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43, while teammate Saquon Barkley opted for the sleek H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack, featuring the darkest material ever made.
Actor Caleb McLaughlin showcased a Zenith Defy Skyline Sapphire, its bezel set with 45 baguette-cut blue sapphires and powered by the high-frequency El Primero 3620 movement.
Jacob & Co. dominated the evening’s jewelry spectacle. Colombian singer Maluma turned heads with the $5 million Emerald Billionaire III, entirely set with emeralds, while Jeff Goldblum sparkled in the Ashoka Boutique Watch, covered in more than 60 carats of Ashoka-cut diamonds. Nigerian artist Burna Boy chose the Caviar Tourbillon, valued at $800,000 and covered in invisible-set baguettes.
Audemars Piguet also made a strong showing. Serena Williams and Simone Biles matched in the Royal Oak Mini in Frosted White Gold, while Hailey Bieber wore a rare 1975 archival timepiece with an opal dial. Olivier Rousteing dazzled with a yellow gold Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin set with yellow sapphires, and Breanna Stewart impressed with a diamond-set Royal Oak Chronograph.
From the Swiss house Omega, brand ambassadors brought refined vintage and modern pieces alike: Nicole Kidman wore a 1969 Ladymatic “Saphette”, Noah Lyles sported a De Ville Prestige, and Barry Keoghan chose the Speedmaster Moonwatch in 18k Moonshine Gold.
Meanwhile, Usher, Jeremy Allen White, and Tramell Tillman added a touch of sophistication with Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso models, while Janelle Monáe and Walton Goggins embraced the timeless craftsmanship of Vacheron Constantin.
At an event defined by glamour and artistry, these watches stood out as more than accessories—they were wearable expressions of legacy, precision, and individuality.
