Breitling Collaborates with Giannis Antetokounmpo on Exclusive Limited-Edition Collection

Famous Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling has teamed up with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo to release a line of watches that pay homage to the dynamic and commanding presence of the Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar power forward. The 40-mm steel Chronomat GMT and the 42-mm gold Chronomat B01 chronograph are two separate iterations of the Chronomat that have been developed in partnership with Giannis Antetokounmpo for his collection.

The design aspects of the collection honor Giannis Antetokounmpo’s immense impact, both in and out of the game. His initials, “GA,” are engraved on the middle hand of each watch, and a basketball insignia blends in subtly with the chronograph counter. The Milwaukee Bucks are closely linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s professional accomplishments, and the choice of a vivid green dial color represents their club colors.

With his signature gracefully carved on the caseback of the GMT model, each clock is painstakingly made to express Giannis’s persona. Featuring Breitling’s state-of-the-art Manufacture Caliber 01 movement, which features a striking golden rotor, the Chronomat B01’s inner workings are sure to delight horology enthusiasts.

Plus, there’s more to the Chronomat Giannis Antetokounmpo line than meets the eye. Only 1,750 units of the GMT type and 250 of the extremely rare chronograph are available in this limited edition run. The uniquely designed box comes with a handwritten message from Giannis, who is fondly called the “Greek Freak” by both his admirers and his colleagues.

Breitling CEO Georges Kern said that it was crucial to capture Giannis’s individuality in these watches. “We aimed to capture Giannis’s extraordinary sense of self and style in every detail of these watches,” he said. Along with his creative sense and tenacity, he provided a wealth of experience as our former ambassador turned partner.

Along with the public-facing collection, Breitling has also created a unique “One of One” chronomat B01 for Giannis Antetokounmpo. This one-of-a-kind timepiece has a vibrant green dial with white chronograph counters, a white inner bezel, and distinctive golden Arabic numerals.

Thanks to Breitling and his fans, Giannis Antetokounmpo reflected on his role in designing these timepieces. The look on my face, when I took the chronograph out of its packaging, conveyed my genuine astonishment at seeing the concept realized. These clocks hold a special place in my heart; they are more than just timepieces. I am grateful to Breitling for giving me the chance to collaborate on the creation of something truly remarkable.

Breitling and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s cooperation is a model of respect, inventiveness, and the merging of two seemingly disparate realms: athletics and haute horology. Upon their release, these special edition watches will serve as a symbol of the artistry, ingenuity, and bond that characterize the company and the sportsman who served as an inspiration.
