Gaurav Gupta has opened its first permanent Paris showroom at 6 Rue Jean Goujon, establishing a year-round presence in the French capital’s prestigious 8th arrondissement.
The 300-square-metre Couture Salon is located in Paris’ Golden Triangle and is led by Jean-Paul Cornut, who previously served as haute couture director at Elie Saab. The showroom occupies a 1930 building designed by French architect Charles Lemaresquier.

Gupta selected the location for its architectural character and has introduced a curated selection of his own artwork and furniture into the space. The designer said Paris had been a long-standing ambition, shaped by his early visits to the city and its importance to fashion history.
“When we first presented during Paris Haute Couture Week, it felt like a very important moment for us,” Gupta said. He added that returning to Paris season after season deepened the relationship and eventually led to the decision to create a permanent space beyond the Couture Week schedule.
From Couture Week to a Permanent Paris Presence
The brand first presented its ‘Shunya’ collection during Paris Haute Couture Week in 2023, beginning a broader push to establish its international presence.
Since then, Gaurav Gupta has dressed global celebrities including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kim Kardashian and Fan Bingbing. Its designs are also stocked by international retailers including Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale’s, alongside the brand’s flagship stores in India.

The new Paris showroom gives the label a dedicated base in one of the city’s most prominent luxury retail districts, extending its presence beyond its seasonal couture appearances.
Why It Matters
The Paris opening marks a significant step in Gaurav Gupta’s international expansion, turning its recurring presence at Haute Couture Week into a permanent retail and client-facing operation in the city.
