To celebrate their latest footwear collaboration, Malone Souliers founder Mary Alice Malone and designer Tabitha Simmons hosted a stylish luncheon on Thursday at Coco’s at Colette in New York City. The intimate gathering, with a guest list that included supermodel and co-host Karen Elson—still glowing from her recent nuptials—unveiled the second collection from the creative duo. The event, held in a private room overlooking Central Park, was the perfect setting to showcase their chic and eclectic designs.
The new collaboration continues to channel a uniquely English sensibility, blending romance with a touch of quirky charm. Creative directors Coco Fong and Valerio Bava ensured that the lineup offers something for every taste and occasion, from versatile mules and slingbacks with wearable heels to mesh pumps ideal for a night out. The collection also features studded linen sandals, striped Mary Jane espadrilles, and the retro Isla wedges—evoking a sense of nostalgia that recalls vintage Italian summers. For fans of Simmons’ past designs, the elegant Kate flat pays tribute to her beloved, now-discontinued signature style.
Along with content creators, editors, and designers, the guest list comprised of stylish friends and industry insiders including Jemma Kidd, Sabine Getty, Derek Blasberg, and Mona Patel. Many seized the chance to wear items from the original partnership, while Simmons herself said thanks for the help and referred to the assembly as “full of love” as she unveiled the new designs. Added to the classy ambiance inside Coco’s, near the GM building’s private Colette coworking club, was the surroundings. Before dining the three-course meal with Caprese salad, branzino, chicken paillard, and fresh berries, guests delighted in a cocktail with amazing views of Central Park. A glass of Champagne or two combined with the laid-back afternoon vibe created the ideal preamble to an unplanned shopping trip. Many of the participants couldn’t resist the appeal of Fifth Avenue as the luncheon came to an end, so they headed to Bergdorf Goodman where the collection had just debuted to be sure they were set to enter party season with a fresh pair of the newest styles.
