Electric city vehicle influenced by Team Car No. 2 – the most celebrated, precious, and emblematic Bentley globally
brake horsepower (15 kW) electric motor claims 65-mile (105-km) range and 45-mph speed.
Munich, Jan. 26, 2024 Bentley Motors will unveil the 85 percent scale, street-legal replica at Retromobile in Paris.
Bentley’s Heritage Collection and Oxfordshire’s Little Car Company launched the skillfully manufactured ‘Blower Jnr’ in Europe.
Inspired by the 1929 4 ½ liter Supercharged Bentley, the electric Blower Jnr features 700 components designed to Bentley requirements. It was designed and inspired by Team Car No. 2, piloted by Sir Tim Birkin, the most valuable Bentley.
Blower Jnr uses a 48V electric drivetrain with 20 brake horsepower (15 kW) motor. This tandem two-seater reaches 45 mph in the UK/EU and 25 mph in the US, traveling 65 miles per charge.
A faithful replica named Blower Jr. is getting ready for the road.
It features a charging port in the front-mounted supercharger housing, positions the electric motor across the rear axle, repurposes the fuel pressure pump as a drive mode selector, and binds the steering wheel with rope to echo the original design.
The first 99 Blower Jnrs will be First Edition Models to increase exclusivity and appeal. These will have a First Edition emblem on the bonnet, door sill plate, and dashboard and a numbered ‘1 of 99’ plaque. Side panel and radiator have period-appropriate racing numbers, and steering wheel is meticulously rope-bound.
The Bentley Blower Jnr will make its inaugural appearance in Europe at Retromobile, a seminal event in the vintage car calendar. The exhibition will occur at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from January 31st to February 4th, 2024.
