Lamborghini enthusiasts, customers, and media from across Asia Pacific and Europe gathered in Tokyo for the Asia Pacific Premiere of the Lamborghini Temerario. This milestone event was part of Lamborghini Day Japan, featuring a parade of 130 Lamborghinis that took over Tokyo’s streets, culminating at the iconic National Stadium, host of the 2020 Olympic Games. The event celebrated Lamborghini’s legacy, unveiling the last plug-in hybrid High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) in their lineup, the Temerario, to over 700 guests.
The Lamborghini parade began at the Tokyo Prince Hotel in Minato Ward, flagged off by Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The route passed through notable areas like Roppongi, Omotesando, and Harajuku, before arriving at the National Stadium. The vibrant streets of Tokyo were brought to life with a dazzling display of Lamborghini’s finest cars.
At the National Stadium, the event showcased an impressive lineup of Lamborghini’s history and innovation, featuring 30 classic models, including the 400GT, Espada, Urraco, and Jalpa. Modern masterpieces such as the Revuelto, Huracán Sterrato, Huracán Tecnica, Huracán STO, and Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimate also took center stage.
The Asia Pacific Premiere of the Lamborghini Temerario was the highlight of the event. Stephan Winkelmann, along with Design Director Mitja Borkert and Product Line Director Paolo Racchetti, unveiled the groundbreaking vehicle in front of an audience of Lamborghini owners, media, and enthusiasts.
Reflecting on the event, Stephan Winkelmann remarked:
“I am always overwhelmed by the passion from Lamborghini customers and fans in Japan. The Temerario marks a significant milestone, completing our electrified lineup in the Direzione Cor Tauri strategy. With this launch, Lamborghini becomes the first luxury automotive brand to offer a completely hybridized range.”
Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, added:
“The Temerario embodies Lamborghini’s commitment to pushing boundaries, offering unparalleled performance with its V8 twin-turbo hybrid system of 920 CV. We are confident that future owners will relish the excitement of driving this remarkable vehicle.”
Davide Sfrecola, Head of Automobili Lamborghini Japan, emphasized:
“Lamborghini Day Japan is always a special occasion to connect with our customers and fans. The unveiling of the Temerario this year makes it even more memorable, and I am confident it will be very well received in Japan.”
The National Stadium provided a breathtaking backdrop for Lamborghini Day, amplifying the grandeur of the event. The showcased Temerario, Lamborghini’s second HPEV, redefines the super sports car segment with its innovative hybrid powertrain. Combining a newly developed V8 twin-turbo engine with three electric motors, the Temerario delivers 920 CV, a top speed of over 340 km/h (210 mph), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds.
The design and engineering brilliance of the Temerario is matched by its predecessors, the Revuelto and Urus SE, both of which were also on display. Guests marveled at the blend of performance, style, and tradition that defines Lamborghini’s legacy.
The Ad Personam area offered a deep dive into Lamborghini’s personalization program, where customers explored limitless customization options for their dream vehicles. The collaboration with partner brands such as Tod’s, Ducati, Lavazza, Technics, and Champagne Carbon further enriched the experience, adding a touch of exclusivity to the event.
The Asia Pacific Premiere of the Lamborghini Temerario marked a significant chapter in Lamborghini’s history, as it completed the brand’s hybridization journey under the Direzione Cor Tauri strategy. Lamborghini Day Japan was not just a celebration of cutting-edge engineering and design but also a testament to the enduring passion of Lamborghini’s global community.
With the Temerario setting a new benchmark for hybrid super sports cars, Lamborghini continues to lead the way in innovation, performance, and exclusivity, shaping the future of luxury automotive excellence.
