NORTH EAST of Plano, Texas (November 20, 2023) — This season, Lexus’s annual “December to Remember” initiative transcends the customary grand red ribbon, delving into the enchantment and profound moments at the core of the festive period. In this latest campaign premiering today, Lexus unveils two novel heartening television advertisements, “Nocturnal Lexus” and “Sled Huskies,” alongside an exceptional holiday-themed partnership with TikTok content artisan @sebastianjern and a striking digital endeavor on Sphere in Las Vegas showcasing the all-fresh 2024 Lexus GX.
“The focal point of this year’s ‘December to Remember’ drive is to consciously honor the extraordinary moments that elude packaging – from thoughtful surprises to forging cherished memories with dear ones,” remarked Vinay Shahani, vice president of Lexus marketing. “We are amplifying the essence of the season throughout the year via curated marketing endeavors and meaningful collaborations.”
Duo of Novel “December to Remember” Television Spots
Lexus introduces two brand-new commercials to its “December to Remember” crusade, spotlighting thoughtful surprises and the season’s enchantment.
In “Sled Huskies,” viewers are introduced to the all-fresh 2024 Lexus GX as it traverses the snowy landscape smoothly. A lady sits assuredly at the wheel while a Siberian Husky secured in the rear row gazes ahead, seemingly issuing directives. With the assistance of her furry companion, the driver steers the GX to a secluded off-road spot to locate the dog’s owner and canine cohorts repairing their damaged sled. Grateful for the reunion, they depart snugly and content in the GX.
“Overnight Lexus” commences in a young boy’s chamber as his father sits beside him, reading a familiar tale about magical beans that sprout overnight. Upon confirming his son’s slumber, Dad extinguishes the light and exits the room. As the door shuts, the boy sneaks outside to bury a toy Lexus under the snow, anticipating the tale’s authenticity. The subsequent morning, the lad awakens, exhilarated to discover a pristine, full-sized 2024 Lexus TX adorned with a colossal red ribbon, summoning Mom and Dad in awe at the unexpected delight.
In addition to the two commercials, Lexus resurrects its well-received 2022 “December to Remember” advertisement, “Time Machine,” featuring a heartwarming narrative of a familial holiday reunion.
All three television spots will grace cable, primetime, late-night, and sports programming until January 2, 2024.
Astounding Holiday Encounters: Grand and Petite
Lexus is materializing the campaign’s symbolic imagery in unique digital realms this holiday season.
Harnessing Las Vegas’ novel landmark entertainment hub, Sphere, Lexus will unveil a mesmerizing ninety-second digital exhibit across its 580,000-square-foot LED façade. Spectators will be captivated by a snow-blanketed globe’s icy exterior fracturing to unveil an all-new 2024 Lexus GX bedecked with the marque’s signature grand red ribbon. Visitors to Las Vegas can witness the new holiday campaign firsthand from November 20 to 26, 2023.
Continuing the momentum in reaching a youthful audience, Lexus has forged a collaboration with TikTok content virtuoso, cinematographer, VFX, and miniature artisan Sebastian Jern (@sebastianjern). Aligning with the prevalent TikTok miniature trend, the marque has partnered with Jern to craft an intricate, miniature wintry vista featuring a Lexus RX crowned with the automaker’s iconic holiday grand red ribbon.
Lexus remains a staunch ally of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and pledges $150,000 this holiday season to bolster their vital endeavors within the community.
