Rolls-Royce has once again set new standards for luxury motoring with the unveiling of the Ghost Series II, a perfect fusion of advanced technology, bespoke craftsmanship, and unparalleled driving dynamics.
In the competitive world of luxury vehicles, Rolls-Royce stands out, proving once again that luxury and performance can coexist effortlessly. The Ghost Series II redefines expectations, pushing the limits of automotive excellence with cutting-edge features and timeless elegance.
Since its debut in 2009, the Rolls-Royce Ghost has been a cornerstone of the brand, designed to appeal to a younger and more dynamic clientele, while remaining a more accessible alternative to the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The second-generation Ghost, launched in 2020, elevated this vision, blending modern technology with Rolls-Royce’s signature elegance. With the Ghost Series II, Rolls-Royce has further refined its formula, delivering what the company calls “the most technologically advanced and driver-focused V12 Rolls-Royce ever created.”
The exterior of the Ghost Series II marks a significant evolution in design. The front of the car features a contemporary interpretation of the iconic Rolls-Royce Pantheon grille, now illuminated for a more striking presence. The car’s impressive 2148mm width is highlighted by updated headlamps and daytime running light graphics that seamlessly flow into the front wings, enhancing the car’s sophisticated look. At the rear, the tail lamp configuration draws inspiration from the Spectre, with vertical light panels flanked by a chrome element and inscribed with the signature double ‘R’ monogram, paying tribute to the brand’s heritage.
Chris Brownridge, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, explains: “Ghost is renowned as a uniquely expressive, agile, and self-assured representation of the Rolls-Royce brand. The Series II iteration preserves these qualities while incorporating a potent engine and unparalleled potential for Bespoke customization.”
One of the defining features of the Ghost Series II is its potential for Bespoke personalization. Rolls-Royce has expanded its already extensive custom options, offering two new 22-inch, 9-spoke wheel designs and an exclusive new color, Mustique Blue, a metallic finish inspired by the Caribbean island. This color captures the shimmering effect of sunlight on a tropical sea, adding another layer of elegance to the Ghost Series II.
Step inside, and you’ll experience a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and digital innovation. The car’s new pillar-to-pillar glass panel houses the Central Information Display with Rolls-Royce’s advanced operating system, SPIRIT. Clients can further personalize the display with custom colors to match the car’s interior or exterior finish. In addition, rear passengers can now connect up to two streaming devices for independent viewing on each screen.
The Ghost Series II’s cabin is not only visually stunning but also an auditory masterpiece. The car’s 18-speaker audio system has been enhanced with a 1400-watt amplifier, transforming the vehicle into a sound stage. For an even more elevated experience, the Bespoke Audio system includes ‘speakerless’ exciters bonded to the Headliner, creating an expansive sound stage without visible speakers. When combined with the Starlight Headliner, the system channels sound throughout the cabin with stunning clarity.
The craftsmanship of the Ghost Series II is second to none. The Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet features an up-lit, mirror-polished Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, while the Illuminated Fascia spans the passenger side, inspired by the night sky. The new Grey Stained Ash material, crafted by hand, adds a contemporary shimmer that enhances the car’s elegant design. This intricate technique took over four years to perfect, underscoring Rolls-Royce’s commitment to the finest materials.
At the heart of the Ghost Series II lies the powerful 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, paired with an eight-speed gearbox. This powerhouse drives an all-wheel steering and drivetrain system, delivering seamless torque from just 1,600 rpm, ensuring effortless acceleration and a smooth, serene ride. Rolls-Royce’s renowned Planar Suspension System and Flagbearer System enhance the driving experience, anticipating road conditions and ensuring an effortlessly smooth ride, no matter the terrain.
For those seeking even more space, the Ghost Extended Series II offers an additional 170mm of rear-seat room, achieved by extending the rear doors while maintaining the vehicle’s elegant silhouette. Clients can also opt for the Serenity Seating, reminiscent of a private aircraft cabin, and request a Champagne cooler with two temperature settings for non-vintage and vintage Champagnes. This attention to detail exemplifies Rolls-Royce’s commitment to the highest standards of luxury.
Since its debut, the Ghost has become synonymous with Rolls-Royce’s philosophy of providing ultra-luxury vehicles that reflect the owner’s personal taste and connoisseurship. In response to growing demand, Rolls-Royce is expanding its global network of Private Offices, where clients can work directly with designers and Bespoke specialists to create their ideal vehicle. The company is also expanding its headquarters at Goodwood, further enhancing its ability to meet the needs of its discerning clientele.
With the introduction of the Ghost Series II, Rolls-Royce continues to solidify its position as the benchmark for luxury and performance in the automotive world.
