Bentley’s Heritage Collection: Commissioned by Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this bespoke 2020 Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase has returned home to Crewe after serving the Royal household. The car, finished in Barnato green with a Twine and Cumbrian Green interior, boasts unique features fit for royalty, including rear privacy curtains, the Royal coat of arms inlaid into the door waist rails, and a custom tray to accommodate the Queen’s handbag.
Carefully hidden within the vehicle, discreetly concealed blue police lights, a powerful siren, and a commanding bullhorn were meticulously installed. These features are seamlessly integrated behind a stylish walnut-veneered door, housing a dedicated switch panel for effortless control. This Mulsanne, powered by Bentley’s famous 537PS 6.75-liter V8 engine, joins the company’s Heritage Collection alongside the second production Mulsanne built in 2010 and a 2019 Mulsanne Speed previously used in Bentley’s press fleet. The Heritage Collection now comprises 45 cars spanning Bentley’s 104-year history.
The Mulsanne model was first introduced in 2009 and was developed from scratch with a brand new 6.75-liter V8 engine, chassis, exterior and interior designs. In 2016, an updated version of the Mulsanne was launched with luxurious features, followed by the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase model, offering enhanced rear-seat comfort. The production of the Mulsanne came to an end in 2020 with Mulliner’s unique 6.75 Edition, marking the end of more than 60 years of the legendary 6.75-liter engine’s output.
Bentley’s Heritage Collection comprises 45 cars that represent the company’s 104-year history, ranging from the oldest Bentley in the world, the 1919 3-Litre EXP2, to the latest 2021 Continental GT Speed. These cars, which include both road-registered and motorsport vehicles, are all maintained and displayed at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England. This collection offers a glimpse into Bentley’s rich past to customers, VIPs, media guests, and Bentley colleagues, providing a unique opportunity to experience Bentley’s legacy firsthand.
