Studio Santos and Le Closet will host The Art House, the world premiere of Tina Frey’s most recent works and an exhibition of her brick collection. With a group show titled “Gimme Shelter,” the Historic Hampton House Museum opens its visual arts program, addressing the significance of shelter for migrants, people of color, and Black Americans. Gary Simmons’s career survey, “Public Enemy,” explores racism in visual culture and is displayed at the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
Superblue showcases JR’s colossal painting, “The Chronicles of Miami,” while Cartier honors its history as a watchmaker with the immersive “Time Unlimited” display. Craig Robins’ yearly rehanging emphasizes conceptualism and figuration, encouraging conversations between various pieces.
During Miami Art Week, Fabel presents Basel House, a four-day intensive program that includes health events, dinners, brunches, and artist presentations. The Miami Beach Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel promotes health with daily exercise sessions, lounges, rides along the beach, and cultural events.
The curatorial team GTK is presenting “Caribbean Dreams,” an exhibition honoring Caribbean culture. FYI, PWW3, a series of panel discussions featuring female leaders in the Web3 area, is presented by Artworld in partnership with independent curators Raina Marie and Coco Dolle.
At the Miami Beach Edition, American Express is showcasing “PLAY by Platinum Gallery,” an interactive beachside exhibit. Surface teams up with Lasvit and Luminaire for a Miami Design District show that showcases the creators and craftspeople behind installations.
At the Art Basel Miami Beach Collectors Lounge, BMW and Alex Israel are showcasing “REMEMBR,” an interactive visual display driven by artificial intelligence. Keith McCurdy, a tattoo artist, has a Lego Lounge at W South Beach that offers a creative area for Lego creation, food, and beverages.
Felipe Pantone’s installation “Por Amor,” which honors Mexico and experiments with new media, is on display at Tequila Don Julio. The “Caribbean Dreams” exhibition, which honors Caribbean culture, is highlighted in GTK’s final note.FYI.
