(Crewe, March 4, 2024) A quintet of uniquely customized Bentley models, commissioned by a local Bentley dealer, marks the inception of the inaugural Mulliner Exclusive Edition tailored exclusively for the Indian market. Each vehicle boasts an elaborate specification, with one-of-a-kind exterior and interior finishes inspired by the colors of the Indian flag. Crafted by hand in Crewe, England, by Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house customization and bespoke division.

The Luxury Edition for India is restricted to only five automobiles: a Continental GT Speed, a Flying Spur Speed, and three Bentayga EWB Azure models. All five showcase an exterior coat of Scarab Green, an exclusive development by Mulliner inspired by the luminous green carapace of the Scarab beetle. Enhanced by custom interior color schemes of Mandarin and Cumbrian Green leather, each car pays homage to India’s national colors.

Unique attributes of the Luxury Edition

While distinct in character, all five models in the Luxury Edition share common bespoke elements. They all boast the radiant Scarab Green exterior finish initially crafted for Bentley’s inaugural coach-built barchetta, the Bacalar. Inside, the hues of orange and green from India’s national colors are embodied in the Mandarin primary leather and Cumbrian Green secondary leather upholstery. The reflective Piano veneer adorning the dashboard and trim is also finished in Cumbrian Green, featuring an inset chrome motif depicting untamed equines and towering peaks. From the initial concept, designers and craftsmen meticulously produced multiple renditions until the perfect amalgamation was achieved. The design was ultimately hand-sketched and meticulously applied to the dashboard using a chrome overlay technique. This unique color and trim specification stem from the close collaboration between Bentley Mumbai and the Mulliner team, commemorating the debut of the first-ever Mulliner bespoke edition tailored for the Indian market.

Performance showcased by the Luxury Edition Continental GT Speed

The 659 PS Continental GT Speed epitomizes the pinnacle of performance in the realm of luxury Grand Tourers, and the Luxury Edition seamlessly complements its demeanor. The Scarab Green exterior and 22” Speed wheels in a dark tinted finish accentuate its poised and sinewy silhouette, while the LED welcome lamps and self-leveling wheel center badges exemplify Mulliner’s meticulous attention to detail.

Upon opening the driver’s door, the full splendor of the two-tone interior unfolds, featuring knurled switchgear and instrument bezels set against a Cumbrian Green piano-finished dashboard. Contrast stitching in Mandarin accentuates the contours of the upholstery and the facets of the quilted sections. The Luxury Edition Continental GT Speed was limited to a singular example, which has already been delivered to its elated owner.

Craftsmanship showcased in the Luxury Edition Flying Spur Speed

The opulent specification of the Luxury Edition Flying Spur Speed includes diamond knurling on bezels and switchgear, Naim for Bentley audio, and the unique Bentley rotating display. Throughout the cabin, the perforated, quilted seat upholstery is bordered by side bolsters with Mandarin contrast stitching and Speed-embroidered headrests.

The performance-oriented ethos of this Bentley finds perfect expression in the Luxury Edition’s Scarab Green exterior finish, complemented by 22” dark tinted Speed wheels with self-leveling wheel center badges. The illuminated Flying B radiator mascot is crafted from polished stainless steel, providing a stark contrast to the dark tinted brightwork of the Speed specification.

The apex performance model of the Flying Spur lineup is propelled by a 626 bhp 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine, with Electronic All-Wheel Steering, Torque Vectoring by Brake technology, and Bentley Dynamic Ride as standard. Only one Luxury Edition Flying Spur Speed will be produced.

The Luxury Edition Bentayga EWB Azure

While the Bentayga EWB epitomizes stirring performance, the focus with the Luxury Edition is on space, well-being, and opulent luxury. The Luxury Edition Bentayga, of which three examples will be crafted, features a four-seat configuration with the Mulliner console bottle cooler separating the two rear seats. Mandarin contrast stitching runs along the periphery of the dashboard top roll and the edges of the Cumbrian Green seat bolsters, while Cumbrian Green contrast stitching adorns the outer facets of the quilted seat areas and the Azure-embroidered headrests.

With the Bentley Dynamic Ride 48V active anti-roll control system ensuring the optimal balance between ride comfort, handling, and body control, the Luxury Edition Bentayga EWB Azure offers a sanctuary of tranquility and luxury.
