Deciding what cruise to take might feel like option overload. There are so many lines and a multitude of options, particularly if you’re cruising the Caribbean.
Lucky for us, U.S. News and World Report made a list of the best cruise lines to take if you’re heading to the Caribbean.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises scored high marks from U.S. News and World Report for its “elevated onboard experience with higher-end, refined atmosphere,” “varied dining options with diverse menus and high-quality cuisine,” and “wide range of itineraries with port-intensive, culturally rich sailings.” U.S. News did note the line often has limited kid-friendly attractions, and some of the older ships aren’t as exciting.
Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean $RCL -2.32% showing up on the list is no surprise given its name. It has an all-inclusive club on Paradise Island in The Bahamas and U.S. news praised it for great onboard entertainment and a wide variety of dining options. The site did warn that larger ships can sometimes feel crowded, and extra fees can add up.
Explora Journeys

Explora Journeys is less well-known, but it’s owned by MSC Group and is their luxury line launched in 2021. U.S. News loved these boats for the Caribbean, with their all-suite accommodations, great cuisine, and interesting spaces on board. It’s more expensive than others, though, which is something to keep in mind.
Virgin Voyages

U.S. News praised these adults-only cruises, particularly for upscale dining and wellness activities. Virgin has multiple options for Caribbean cruises, but U.S. News warns that the line has a “party atmosphere” might not appeal to everyone.
Disney Cruise Line

This answer might surprise you, but U.S. News ranked Disney $DIS -0.22% first, thanks in part to its so variety of ports, destinations, and length of trips. Plus, it has its own beach clubs in the Bahamas, which makes it Caribbean journeys stand out. U.S. News liked Disney’s spacious cabins, family friendliness, and often discounted rates, but it warned that it didn’t have “anytime dining” like other cruises.
