Drake is making waves in more than just music this summer. His fragrance label, Better World Fragrance House, has introduced its very first eau de parfum—and it’s as complex, stylish, and unexpected as the artist himself.
Named Summer Mink, the scent plays on contrast. Warm and cool, vibrant and soft—it’s a perfume designed to challenge conventions and reflect life’s dualities. The opening is crisp and refreshing, with bursts of Italian citrus, clary sage, and petitgrain. As the fragrance evolves, floral notes of jasmine sambac and rose oil meet warm spices, grounding into a deep base of woody amber, vetiver, and musk.

This paradoxical layering of warm and cool elements is no accident. Crafted in collaboration with master perfumer Michael Carby of Givaudan—the world’s largest fragrance house—Summer Mink was born from the idea of yin and yang. Carby explains, “The ingredient composition was uniquely crafted to reflect a multinational culture with aspirations toward a Better World.”
The bottle itself is a visual metaphor for the fragrance’s dual nature. A weighty spherical design balances atop a sleek rectangular base, all in Better World’s signature ethereal blue. It’s a sculptural object that looks as good as the fragrance smells.
Drake and Carby have a trusted partnership, previously creating the cult-favorite Carby Musk fragrance oil. But Summer Mink marks a new chapter. It’s not only the brand’s first eau de parfum—it’s also making history. When it lands at Ulta Beauty on May 12 (online May 11), it will become the first celebrity-founded men’s fragrance to be carried by the retailer.
Priced at $148 for 100 ml, Summer Mink is more than a scent—it’s a statement. A reflection of the unexpected, the balanced, and the bold. Just like its creator.
