Secret Atlas has unveiled a new 14-day “Fly and Cruise” itinerary, offering travelers a rare opportunity to explore the remote beauty of eastern and northeastern Greenland in an intimate, small-group setting. Running from August 27 to September 9, 2025, the expedition is designed for just 12 guests and combines immersive Arctic exploration with exceptional comfort aboard a purpose-built expedition vessel.
The journey focuses on two of Greenland’s most captivating regions—Scoresbysund and the Northeast Greenland National Park. Together, they form the largest fjord system and the largest national park on Earth, respectively. This part of the Arctic is famed for its dramatic landscapes and rich biodiversity, including sightings of polar bears, musk oxen, whales, narwhals, and numerous seabird species. Guests will also have the chance to connect with Greenland’s deep-rooted Inuit heritage, exploring remote settlements such as Ittoqqortoormiit and learning about the historical Thule culture.

Guests will travel aboard the MV Freya, a modern expedition vessel featuring multiple viewing decks and nine comfortable cabins. With a maximum of 12 travelers, the voyage emphasizes a low-impact, educational approach to Arctic travel, led by highly experienced polar expedition leaders and naturalists. Each day brings a new adventure—whether cruising through ice-choked fjords, observing wildlife, or landing ashore to explore ancient Inuit sites.

The program includes a charter flight from Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport to Constable Point in Greenland, as well as an overnight hotel stay and dinner back in Iceland following the voyage. Additional perks such as meet-and-greet service and extra luggage allowance on the charter flight add to the seamless travel experience.

Secret Atlas specializes in micro-cruise expeditions across the polar regions, operating scheduled and private journeys from April through September. Other offerings include Antarctic adventures, voyages to South Georgia, and photography-focused cruises led by acclaimed experts—such as the Greenland Northern Lights Photo Tour.

With this new “Fly and Cruise” itinerary, Secret Atlas continues to redefine expedition travel by combining exclusivity, education, and environmental responsibility.
