For those who appreciate design, detail, and driving as an art form, one of the most coveted names in automotive restomods is about to make auction history. At Bonhams’ upcoming Miami Auction—held in conjunction with the city’s Formula 1 Grand Prix—a breathtaking 1990 Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer is set to cross the block, marking the first public offering of a car restored through Singer’s Classic Turbo services.

Singer, under the vision of founder Rob Dickinson, has built a cult-like following for its reverent reimaginings of the Porsche 911. This particular example, known as the “Sun Valley Commission,” is an homage to the legendary 930 Turbo, Porsche’s first turbocharged 911 introduced in 1975. While Singer’s Classic Turbo treatment draws inspiration from that iconic model, it is infused with decades of technical evolution and artisan craftsmanship.

Underneath its carbon-fiber skin lies a hand-built, twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter Mezger air-cooled flat-six, producing a formidable 510 horsepower. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission—a perfect nod to analog purity. And yet, it’s not just about performance. This 911 is finished in an exclusive Dirty Oak Green Metallic exterior over a sumptuous Ivory leather interior with Olive accents—a palette as sophisticated as the engineering behind it.

Inside, the cockpit is a meticulous blend of nostalgia and modern elegance: from classic-style analog gauges to 12-way adjustable seats that recall Porsche’s design DNA while offering mechanical lumbar support. It’s a car that speaks to both heart and mind, designed to elevate every moment behind the wheel.

Commissioned by Singer devotee Dave Stone, the build took nearly two years and has logged just 270 miles. Despite its minimal use, Stone describes the driving experience as “unbelievable,” remarking that it “pulls like a brand-new 911 Turbo S.” His most poetic comparison? “It blurs the line between scalpel and sword.”

Singer’s Classic Turbo restorations start at $855,000, and this particular model includes ultra-premium additions like carbon-ceramic brakes and a matching Singer Reimagined Flytrack chronograph. Given its rarity, craftsmanship, and provenance, Bonhams has placed a high estimate of $2.25 million on the car—a number that may well be exceeded when the gavel drops.

For collectors, connoisseurs, and dreamers, this isn’t just another restomod. It’s a moment in time—and a chance to own a chapter of automotive artistry at its highest level.
