On the famous Fifth Avenue in North America, Citizen Watch America has opened its ground-breaking 7,000-square-foot, three-story flagship shop. Modern technology is introduced in this immersive shopping experience, featuring the highly regarded Light is Time art exhibit, which visualizes time and how it relates to light. Working with Japanese architect Tsuyoshi Tane of Paris, the exhibit highlights Citizen’s unique Eco-Drive technology and the company’s in-house base plate, which serves as the basis for all Citizen watches. The eye-catching installation greets customers as they enter the business and adorns the stairway.
Famous architects Ken Park and Kenneth Park Architects designed the store, which has a sizable video display that is visible from the street and dynamic True 3D technology that makes timepieces appear to pop off the screen. A 20-foot-long branded wall that displays the extensive history of watchmaking from Citizen Watch America’s numerous brands directs visitors around the flagship. The whole collection of watches, including unique edition models, is on display on the first two levels, with a museum archive and a particular area on the third story reserved for programming and events in 2024.
Top executives and brand partners, including the renowned Marc Anthony, attended a special ribbon-cutting event to commemorate the flagship’s launch. Guests perused the newest watch collections among carefully chosen DJ Amrit music selections.
President of Citizen Watch America, Jeffrey Cohen, stated his pleasure in the company’s entry into the Fifth Avenue neighborhood and its ability to present its brands via a cutting-edge, immersive experience. Situated amid the famous crossroads of cultures in New York City, the flagship is the company’s first multi-brand shop in the United States.
